The Volga delta is the numerous islands, which are divided by a lot of big and small rivers, huge shallows with various plants.

On this territory near 850 kinds of plants, among which 20 kinds are concentrated in the RED BOOK of Russia. The Large area of the delta is the place of permanent residence of the birds. Here are 256 kinds of birds, among which near 30 kinds are in the Red Book of Russia, and 3 kinds in the international Red Book.

In the center of area you can see one of the numerous colonies of big and small herons and GUNNETS. The fauna of mammals is represented with 33 kinds.

 
From the end of April and till the end of October You can make different excursions, to see the sights of the Volga delta.

We suggest You to see the most interest nature sights of the Volga delta and Astrakhan area:

• To see the kingdom of river birds of the avandelta;
• To see the colonies of birds (May-June);
• With the skilled hunter make tour to the nests of SEA EAGLES;

•         to the fishing place (may-june);
•         to the complex of breeding of sturgeon fishes;
•         to the Caspian Sea; to Astrakhan with the visit of the Kremlin;
•         to the salty lake Baskunchak and Bogdo-mountain.
